

Adaptive skills assessment
Description: A collaborative, strengths-based process designed to assess and develop meaningful and functional life skills that promote independence, inclusion and a better quality of life for each student. The assessment process is the basis for program planning and implementation.
Process:
1. Intake and information gathering: Review of support team concerns, collection of relevant information and structured interviews.
2. Direct and indirect assessment: includes standardized and non-standardized tools, naturalistic and structured observations (at home and in the community), and task analysis based on ABA and benchmark tests.
3. Data analysis and reporting: compile and interpret assessment results, prepare a comprehensive and individualized report including objectives and recommendations.
Fee: $125/hour (minimum of 10 hours to complete evaluation, including written report)
Payment Options: Private Pay or California Self-Determination Program
