Lucia Serio, LEP, NCSP
Lucia Serio is a Licensed Educational Psychologist, Sexuality Educator, and the founder of Bookworm Educational & Psychological Services. She is passionate about helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities—including Down syndrome, autism, and complex communication needs—build meaningful, self-directed lives through strength-based, affirming support.
Through Bookworm, Lucia has partnered with families across California to provide psychoeducational evaluations, educational consultation, sexuality education, mental wellness services, and individualized supports that connect learning, independence, and quality of life. She specializes in translating assessment findings into practical, personalized recommendations that help teams better understand and support each individual’s unique strengths.
In addition to her clinical work, Lucia has taught graduate students, contributed to educator training initiatives, and coached professionals in implementing evidence-based practices for autistic learners. Her work bridges education, psychology, sexuality, and disability advocacy—always with the goal of promoting autonomy, inclusion, and belonging.
When she’s not working, Lucia can usually be found with her nose in a book or spending time with her husband, baby Paloma, and dogs. A lifelong learner at heart, she’s always eager to discover something new!
Stephanie Jimenez, Board Certified Behavior Analyst & Sexuality Educator
Stephanie was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, and proudly identifies as a Salvadoran-American cisgender female. Her deep passion for supporting people of all abilities stems from growing up in a family of teachers and educators. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders in 2013 and went on to complete her Master's in Counseling with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from Cal State LA in 2016. As a Board
Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) since 2017, and now a soon-to-be credentialed School Psychologist (2025), Stephanie brings years of experience working in schools, homes, and communities. She’s especially passionate about supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Autism, and diverse learning needs, while also promoting self-advocacy, healthy development, and inclusive puberty and sexual health education.
Stephanie leads with compassion, curiosity, and care, always embracing progress over perfection. Outside of work, she loves listening to podcasts and audiobooks and cherishes making joyful memories with her son!
Will Hoadley-Brill, M.Ed
Will joins the Bookworm team as an Education Consultant and Sexuality Educator, bringing 10 years of experience working with learners with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He believes that all learners have limitless potential with the proper resources and supports paired with high-quality academic instruction and interventions. Will completed both his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish language, literature, and cultures & Peace Studies and his Master's in Education at George Washington University. He holds a Single Subject Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing in Spanish. Throughout Will's work in various educational contexts—including non-profit organizations, public schools, and individual instructional modalities—Will has worked with diverse students and families.
In all his work, Will centers inclusion, life-long learning, individualization, and self-actualization. Will loves to work with learners of all ages, abilities, identities, and language backgrounds. When he's not striving to provide the best services to his students, you can find Will reading (a true bookworm), baking, cooking, or spending time with his loved ones.
Sophia Grassedonio, Administrative Assistant
Sophia grew up in Burbank, California, and graduated from the University of Arizona in May 2025 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration. Supporting people of all abilities is something very close to her heart. Her younger sister has special needs and has been one of her greatest inspirations, guiding Sophia toward a career dedicated to helping others grow, learn, and thrive.
As Bookworm’s Administrative Assistant, Sophia supports a wide range of practice operations, including invoicing, scheduling, communications, marketing, and client support. She enjoys helping create organized systems that allow Bookworm’s team to better serve individuals and families in the community.
Outside of work, Sophia enjoys swimming, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She is grateful to be part of the Bookworm team and looks forward to continuing to support the wonderful families and professionals she works with each day!
