Who Are Assessments For?

Description:

This assessment helps us understand why a child may engage in certain behaviors and how best to support them. Led by a professional who is both a BCBA and a School Psychologist, the process centers on your child’s strengths and your family’s priorities, with practical strategies to support your child's success at home, at school, and in the community. This FBA uses a data-informed, collaborative approach to identify the function of behavior and contributing environmental factors.

Rather than focusing only on test scores, it shows how your child responds to teaching, identifies effective strategies, and provides practical recommendations to help them succeed in the classroom. Dynamic assessment examines a student’s learning potential by evaluating performance changes with mediated instruction and supports.

This comprehensive assessment helps you better understand how your child learns, thinks, and experiences school. Using a strength-based, dynamic approach, the evaluation highlights what your child does well, where support may be helpful, and provides clear recommendations to guide educational planning and accommodations. This evaluation provides a comprehensive profile of a student’s cognitive, academic, and social-emotional functioning.

Description:

This service helps identify emotional and mental health factors that may be affecting your child’s learning, behavior, or overall well-being. Using a supportive, collaborative approach, the assessment focuses on strengths while addressing areas such as anxiety, mood, self-esteem, and behavior to guide meaningful supports.

Rates: Assessment rates may vary by type, location, required hours, and timeline. The rates for assessment typically range from $1,500 to $ 7,000. Please inquire with admin@bookwormedpsych.com for more information.
Payment options: School district contract for independent educational evaluation (IEE) or private pay (payment plans available upon request).
