Adult Program (Individual or Couple)

For individuals and romantic partners with Down syndrome or other Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities ages 18+.  This program is designed to provide the individual with language and a more in-depth understanding of relationships, sexuality, sexual health, and boundaries. It also provides families with language and resources for facilitating learning and conversations.  All information is presented in a factual, medically accurate, and developmentally appropriate way. However, the content delivered is based on the “need to knows” related to the individual’s physical age. This program is adapted from the framework and curriculum from the Elevatus (https://www.elevatustraining.com/) program.

• Communicating About Sex

• Decision-Making About Sex

• Challenges or Things That Can Go Wrong

• Do You Want to Have A Child?

• Avoiding Pregnancy

• Getting a Sexually Transmitted Disease

• Abuse Prevention

Fee: $125/hour (minimum of 15 hours required)

Payment options: Private pay or California Self- Determination Program
