Behavior Consultation

Description: Behavior consultation in a way that is objective, inclusive, and centered on the unique strengths, values, and needs of each learner and their family. The model emphasizes collaboration across all settings and providers and keeps the learner’s best interest at the core of all decisions. 

Process:

1. Centering on the individual and key contexts by identifying primary behavioral concerns and what is most meaningful to the individual and their family. Additionally, the behavior team will explore the settings and environmental factors that may help the individual thrive

2. Prioritize behavior concerns and focus first on behaviors that impact the learner’s well-being, autonomy, and access to their environment.

3. Collaborate with the individual’s support system by involving all caregivers, support providers, specialists, and relevant community members to gain more information about the individual’s abilities. 

4. Conduct ecological observations of the individual across environments and design individualized supports. This includes putting together a behavioral program and strategies that will be taught to the individual’s team. 

5. Customize progress monitoring to include easy-to-use data collection methods that will be used to adjust programming and track progress over time. 

Fee: $125/hour
